Painted in the manner of Hendrick Avercamp (1585-1634). Incredible early Dutch scene with people playing "kolf" - a predecessor to the modern game of golf.

Condition: Oil on a wooden panel. There are old splits in the panel which have been reinforced from the reverse with strips of canvas and wooden buttons. The paint layer is a little worn in areas and there are localised areas of cracked and lifting paint. There are retouchings across the surface, notably at the lower left corner.
