"Payne Stewart" by Holly Evans, 1991 [World Golf Hall of Fame Collection]

Incredible original oil painting by Holly Evans of Payne Stewart celebrating his Major Championship victory at the 1991 PGA Championship. Though most remembered for his dramatic 1999 US Open win,  this painting was produced for Payne Stewart's first US Open victory 8 years prior.  

This painting is being consigned today by the World Golf Hall of Fame. It was part of the Hall of Fame's Collection since 2000, and was prominently displayed for many years. 

Oil on Wood Panel. Signed by artist on bottom left.
