Offered here is a very interesting circa early to mid 1800s oil on tin of period English golfers. Dressed in period attire, but in jackets in shades of blues instead of the more common red/pink. Painting show tremendous age, with associated paint cracking that in many ways adds to the appeal. Should be reframed.
There is a "C. Lees 1851" or similar signature on bottom right. More research should be done, as this is clearly not the work of famed artist Charles Lees. Perhaps simply by another person of a similar name, or even added after and unrelated.
